Their name is German for "layer cake," and resembles the Spanish word "tortuga," meaning "turtle." Only two of them, Chef Torte and his apprentice, appear in the game, and work as the bakers in Marrymore. They attack Mario after he stops the wedding between Booster and Princess Toadstool, which meant their cake would go to waste.
