I's kind of like they're always playing a ghostly game of statues. just don't turn your back on them and you'll be alright! That said, they make fine allies in the Mario Kart series, where they can turn you invisible for a while.

Boo
A ghost that loves mischief, and often appears from dark areas.
Even though it slowly tries to fly down and approach you from behind, it seems if you turn and face it directly, it becomes embarrassed and completely unable to move.
Maybe its name Teresa comes from the word Tereya-san (shy person)?
There are various Boos, among them there's even a large Boo that wears a crown!
