UploadsEdit

Hello, Dr. Kirb. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Dr. Kirb. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:

 • photo - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
 • art - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
 • comic-scene - Used for scans of a comic.
 • comic-cover - Used for covers of comic books.
 • tv-screenshot - Used for screenshots of television shows.
 • film-screenshot - Used for screenshots of movies.
 • video-screenshot - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use character-artwork.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Please remember to include the necessary category link and license into the description as described above if you're uploading from the wikitext editor. You may want to try using Special:Upload in the future.   Mario JC 06:31, May 8, 2021 (EDT)

Make sure the category link is formatted correctly like the example above: (with square brackets and the "Category:" prefix), not Mario Party DS Media Files or .   Mario JC 21:07, May 12, 2021 (EDT)

Beanstalk WayEdit

The screenshot you uploaded appears to be vertically stretched and has part of the screen cut off (the hearts go off the screen). If you're using Dolphin, could you retake the screenshot and fix these issues? For reference, here's an example of a good WW image.    15:26, May 9, 2021 (EDT)

Copying informationEdit

Please do not copy/paste information from other websites like you did with SmashWiki and TCRF without at least attributing the work, otherwise it's considered plagiarism. You can use TCRF as reference but it's best you write them in your own words.   Mario JC 21:33, May 9, 2021 (EDT)

Mario Party DS audio filesEdit

When you upload files, the categories for them should be written as . Curly braces are used for templates. In addition, the audio samples should be shortened to 30 seconds for fair use purposes. - RHG1951 (talk) 20:32, May 12, 2021 (EDT)

On the topic of this, make sure the game's name/title is in italics when you're uploading these audio files and are using the about template to including information. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 21:46, May 12, 2021 (EDT)

If possible, could you try adding a fadeout to the end?   Mario JC 21:51, May 12, 2021 (EDT)

The entire clips seem to be gradually going softer. The fadeout should just be a few seconds towards the end. Sorry if that wasn't clear.   Mario JC 00:08, May 13, 2021 (EDT)

A small suggestionEdit

If you're interested in filling in some missing info, the music list on the List of Mario Party DS music article appears to be lacking.   (T|C) 02:16, May 13, 2021 (EDT)
