Anagrams

Written by: BBQ Turtle (talk)

Hi everyone, welcome to another month's edition of anagrams! This month I've decided to put together a load of anagrams based on different Kongs, all sorts of different ones- but still expect a lot of K-O-N-G letters. If you can think of a theme that involves significantly fewer Ks and Gs, or anything Mario-related you fancy having a crack at some anagrams for, please let me know on my talk page or in a PM to me on the forums, I'd be sure to incorporate them in a future section, along with any funny Mario-related anagrams you send. Now then, I'll let you swing into these anagrams!

How it works...
Basically, this puzzle consists of solving the anagrams. Each month has a specific theme, which will give you a clue about what sort of words or phrases the anagrams will be. I've also included the boxes that the anagrams will fit into, so you'll be able to tell how many words it will solve to be and how many letters will be in each word, which should give you a hand too. You'll also notice that within each set of boxes, one of the squares are yellow. As you solve each anagram, note down the letter which appears in the yellow squares, and if you can solve all of the anagrams, you'll also get a bonus anagram to solve from completing all of the others. I've included the letter configuration for this one at the bottom too, just to give you an extra helping hand. Best of luck!

1. KNIGHTLY GAS

2. KIND BOB RAG

3. USING CROCK

4. GET RANK OAK

5. NIX KID EGO

6. GUNK CLONE

Word Search

Written by: Shoey (talk)

Why is Super Paper Mario the way it is? Why did they take a pretty good turn based RPG series and turn it into a weird platformer with pretend RPG elements? Why are the enemy designs so weird? The game doesn't look like it was ever supposed to be a Mario game. If you can't tell the subject, of this month's Word Search is Super Paper Mario, a weird 2D platformer RPG hybrid that completely changed how Paper Mario is. Some would say that after Super Paper Mario, the Paper Mario series would never manage to return to the highs of the original two games. But those people are dumb because Color Splash is the best of all the Paper Mario games. Anyways this month's Word Search is a little more challenging than most. Words can be found vertically, horizontally, diagonally, backwards, and inside other words. As always have fun and stay safe!

I'm MarioMorty, and this is Crosswords. On today's edition, we'll be taking a look at Mario sports games. That's all I have to say for today, but know that I have some special editions in the works, so look forward to that!

Hiding Koopa

Koopa Troopa from Mario Kart 8.
WANTED!

Hello there, 'Shroom readers! It's April! Wasn't there supposed to be something happening this month? Something really big that a lot of people were waiting for? Hm... Nope, nothing comes to mind. I'm probably just mistaken.

Anyway, as the guy on top of all of Nintendo's latest releases, I've picked more fresh material for Hiding Koopa! This month, there are five Koopas hiding in this artwork from Samus' new old outing, Metroid Prime Remastered! Can you find them all?

Where in the Marioverse is Carmen Sandiego?

Each issue, you will be given a case to solve and clues to use to help you find the solution! Use your Mario knowledge to crack the case!

You will begin each case at the scene of the crime, and you will be given three clues from passerby as to where the next hot spot is and what game it’s from. Using your knowledge of Mario games and the Super Mario Wiki, figure out where the crook is and go track them down! There are four locations each round: the crime scene (1) at the start, two locations (2 and 3) with clues, and the hideout for the crook of the month (4). Answers for locations will be given with the corresponding round, for example, the clues from the crime scene will lead you to location 2, and once you open the spoiler bubbles for location 2, you will be given the correct answer. You can open the clues for each location in any order you’d like, but be careful! You may encounter an incorrect clue that could throw you off the case!

Clues offered will give you a hint either about the next location or the game it’s in. Unlike a regular Carmen Sandiego game, you do not have to collect information about the crook you are tracking down.

Challenge round (optional):

-Find all locations and games correctly in two minutes or less

-Find all locations and games correctly without using the rest of the Wiki for help

These tinker toys have been taken!

“We've got your next case ready to go, gumshoe. Donkey Kong was helping test a prototype LEGO Donkey Kong toy when it was stolen, along with the rest of his Dry Bowser Castle Battle set. The LEGO Super Mario sets involve electronic toys that can play character voice lines during playtime. Characters featured include Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach, and they've proven very popular so far. This might not be a Carmen scheme, perhaps just a jealous scoundrel, but, it's what we have for you this month. Donkey Kong needs the set back, so it's time to get to work!”

The big ape has his minifig back!

“Nice work, gumshoe! As we expected, this was just a case of a jealous passerby swiping a toy. Your quick thinking allowed us to track down the thief and get the set back. Donkey Kong is very grateful- he didn't want to be on the hook to pay for the set had it needed to be replaced! He sent over a big bunch of bananas for you as a reward. We've left it on your desk, but make sure not to make a mess of your paperwork! ACME offices are not a Mario Kart course, gumshoe!”
