As with many levels, Lockjaw's Locker is designed after the [[Lockjaw's Locker (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)|eponymous level]] from ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest]]''. The area is partially submerged in boiling water, and [[Diddy Kong|Diddy]] and [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] cannot safely swim in the water. Many [[Clapper]]s are placed throughout the level, and the [[Kong]]s can jump on them individually for the Clapper to temporarily cool the water.
