Sapient creatures vs. items and objects[edit]

While it's true to say that King Croacus IV and Tulips are both flowers, one's a walking, talking character and the other one's a static object. Grouping them together seems unhelpful and kind of silly. To me, someone looking at this category would rather only see the items and objects or only see the characters and enemies. Am I off-base, or is this something worth exploring? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 17:31, 12 September 2017 (EDT)

Same reason Category:Rodents includes both feral mice and Ratooeies. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:34, 12 September 2017 (EDT)
At the very least, they're both sentient creatures, and I do not consider the Fire Flower's eyes to be an indication of its sentience (everything has eyes in this franchise). Hello, I'm Time Turner. 17:59, 12 September 2017 (EDT)
Not since Double Dash, they haven't. Eyes on background objects are exceedingly rare nowadays. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:02, 12 September 2017 (EDT)
