Bear is the lone Brother Bear representative of Donkey Kong Land III. He somewhat resembles Bazaar. He does not appear in Donkey Kong Country 3 and is the only Brother Bear absent from it.

Bear in Donkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong.

Bear operates his own cabin named the Sheepy Shop in every world. Here he gives a few offers to Dixie or Kiddy. The first one is to play the card game Memory, first free of charge then priced at five Bear Coins afterward. Bear also has a minimum Bonus Coin requirement, which differs in each world, to play it.

Bear gives various rewards to the Kongs based on how many pairs they match in Memory. The prizes range from an Extra Life Balloon, a Banana Bunch, a Bear Coin, and even a Stop Watch, if they match all ten pairs a first time in each world. Bear also rewards the Kongs a DK Coin if they beat Memory a first time.

If either Dixie or Kiddy is uninterested in Memory, Bear offers either one a level hint for two Bear Coins, similar what to Cranky and Wrinkly do in other Donkey Kong titles; Bear's level hints differ for each world, based on their levels.

If either Dixie or Kiddy is also uninterested in that, Bear gives the active one a final offer: a "test drive" in his new teleporter for five Bear Coins, similar to Funky's role in most of his appearances. The teleporter transports both Kongs back to the main world map.

Bear is animated in the original Game Boy release, but he is inexplicably not in its Game Boy Color re-release Donkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong.
