Very Gnawty
Very Gnawty is giant Gnawty and the boss of the Kongo Jungle in the game Donkey Kong Country. He is the first boss of the game. To defeat Very Gnawty, Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong must Jump on top of him five times. The beaver boss attacks by jumping horizontally at the Kongs. After each hit, he gets progressively faster and his leaps become progressively larger (however, the boss can still be easily avoided). After five hits, Very Gnawty collapses onto the ground.
Very Gnawty is a palette swap of another boss, Really Gnawty. While Very Gnawty has gray fur, Really Gnawty has brown fur.
Interestingly Gnawtys equal in size to Very Gnawty appear in Donkey Kong 64, these large Gnawtys may be the same type of Gnawty as Very Gnawty. The only real difference between Very Gnawty and these Gnawtys is that the large Gnawtys of Donkey Kong 64 can be defeated in just one hit instead of five like Very Gnawty.
Trivia
- His name is an obvious pun on "very naughty".
- After defeating Really Gnawty, Very Gnawty can be found inside Donkey Kong's Treehouse in the GBA remake of Donkey Kong Country. When he realizes Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong has entered the treehouse, the beaver runs past them and out of the front door. This can be performed only once per file, however.
