Can we make articles on the different events and Dream events? I can find several things to say about them; the description, the controls, what character type is best for it, what event class it falls under, etc. It would be like the several Mini-Game articles. =)

:Huh... why not? as you say, there are exactly like minigames, and in you can add this description, controls and more interesting info... do it. Oh, and create Big the Cat article too ;).--Caith Sith 11:59, 27 November 2007 (EST)

WTF!?  Caps Lock LORD 16:46, 28 March 2007 (EDT)

It quite obviously oozes "gimmick". Phoenix Rider 16:48, 28 March 2007 (EDT)

I say that it is not a hoax. There's just too much information. I love Kingdom Hearts, so I'm kind of disappointed about this, but EGM put an article about Mushroom Kingdom Hearts. Keys are that it lacked information, Sora's artwork was copied from Kingdom Hearts II, and Mario's artwork was his Super Mario Sunshine artwork edited. This, however, has playable characters, release dates, directors, and an official website. Also, this wasn't announced via EGM ;)

And as I added in the article - It has a ®, which you don't add to a fake game! --Bentendo 17:15, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

Aw man. THIS IS THE END OF THE WORLD! Not wuite.. but close. Man... Mario's totally crossing over every franchise! EEEK! MARIO KINGDOM HEARTS? *faints* 3dhammer.gif 3D, See all you nerds latah. Bye. 3dhammer.gif

Miyamoto is waiting his time and spoiling the Mario franchise, IMO. But I'd be happy to eat my words... it's still too early to tell what's what on this game. I really hated how Sega decided to work with Nintendo on this instead of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. --Stumpers, the Stumpinator

...I am left without words. I am amazed. This game looks like the April Fools of the year! Little Mouser.PNGPaper Jorge (Talk·Contribs)

Character Types

Are those Character Types accurate, or just fan speculation? My Bloody Valentine

They are accurate, or so I believe, as they have been confirmed through an official fact sheet. Artwork of Boshi from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven StarsMat_Rix_007

OK. You never know, there Character Types might change in the final version. My Bloody Valentine

They are oficial Shrooby GreenDance.gif I saw on the oficial site!

Daisy

[1]
Take a look at this. Daisy's symbol can be seen on a flag. Does this mean she is in it? My Bloody Valentine P.S. A Purple Flag and a Black Flag (Shaped like Shadow's head) can also be seen. Does this mean Waluigi and Shadow are in it as well? On closer look, the Purple Flag might be Big the Cat's, but I might be wrong.

For all we know, she may be a referee like Cream. But, it's possible... just don't add it. WAY to speculative. But make note of the flag for now. Max2 (talk)

Possible Redirects?

I think we need some redirects for this page.

 1. Mario & Sonic (for people that are too lazy to type the full title)
 2. Mario & Sonic at the Olympics (for people that mistake the title, like I did just now)

Okay idea, Eh! Steve? --User:Dodoman

The first one was already done, I did the second one, and, why couldn't you do it yourself? My Bloody Valentine
Uh... I don't know how.

The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dodoman (talk).

OK, this is how:

1# Type in what you want the Redirect to be, in this case, Mario & Sonic.
2# Then, type this when you are creating the page: #REDIRECT Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

This will redirect it to the given article, in this case, Mario & Sonic will redirect to Mario & Sonic at the Olypmic Games. Hope this was helpful My Bloody Valentine

Sonic Template

If there are going to be about 10 Sonic characters, I say we should make a template for them, instead of adding them to the 3rd party template, which is (quickly) crowding up. Comments? Max2 (talk)

I don't think so. There are a lot of cross-over games here and upcoming, and if we had a template for each of the Final Fantasy characters in Mario Hoops, the Dragon Quest characters in Itadaki Street DS, and so on, there would be few to stay on the 3rd party template, and it somehow exceeds the range of templates for the third importance category. In my opinion that is. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 17:13, 11 August 2007 (EDT)

I mean, not like the FF characters, as there are only like 5. I mean like this, where there are a huge amount. Max2 (talk)

Currently, I only count five Sonic characters as well. Anyway, what you could do is a template for all characters in Mario & Sonic, when they get much, like on SSB and Mario Strikers Characters. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 17:17, 11 August 2007 (EDT)

Well, OK. And, the website said about 20 characters, so I'm guessing it will be a half and half deal. But, yeah, maybe we should do that. I guess. Max2 (talk)

Maybe we should wait for the game to come out before making a decision like that.Knife (talk) 17:28, 11 August 2007 (EDT)

Source of the characters type

Australia News

I would suggest going here for some good Australian news on the game. AND TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO STATE THIS GAME WILL FAIL, READ THAT!!! Sorry for yelling, but that gets everyones attention better :P My Bloody Valentine

Confusion on Espio?

Espio is in speculated and referee character spots. Which is he, Playable or Non-playable? SonicMario

He is not playable, I saw in the trailer. I don't know who put him under speculated characters, but he is a referee.

Waluigi?

IGN states that Waluigi is in the game. Could this be true? Can someone please tell me if this is true or not. My Bloody Valentine

Fake Boxart

I can't find this Boxart on any official source. That means this Boxart must be a fake, as it has not been revealed on any official source whatsoever. The Super Smash Bros. Brawl Boxart was deleted because it was not found on any official source, so the Boxart of this game should too. My Bloody Valentine

Uh, hello? Isn't anyone going to respond to this? My Bloody Valentine
... My Bloody Valentine
...Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC
Ignore. The boxart was proven to be official on Nintendo of Australia's website. My Bloody Valentine

Artwork

Anyone noticed how the artwork looks similar to other games? So either these are duplicates or Nintendo is getting lazy. :P can i have a link to the website where these pictures were found? Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC

I can help ya, look at this [2] ¢oincollctor rsitem209.png

Thanks, but it seem like, the website didn't have official artwork of Yoshi or Waluigi so they used artwork from other games. Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC

May be... ¢oincollctor rsitem209.png Well, I don't know.

Um, anyone happen to know what language that site is in? Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC Regurgitated artwork :O
Obviously French. / Time Q 14:52, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Release Dillemma

I am getting this game in 5 days. America doesn't get Mario & Sonic until, like, 2 weeks after Australia gets this game. So, when it is released here, I will be doing massive edits to this page and the related articles. BUT! Should I class the game as Just Released, or wait for the game to be released in America? My Bloody Valentine As for the related articles, should I remove the Newsubject tag, or wait for the game to be released in America?

Wait for the US release (see Manual of Style, green box), but you can remove the newsubject template. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 20:34, 16 October 2007 (EDT)
OK, thanks. My Bloody Valentine

Bowser Artwork

Notice something odd here? Look at the top-left side of the Monopoly picture. Notice how the artwork is exactly the same as the Olympics artwork? May I remove that artwork from this article, please? My Bloody Valentine

and the artwork was in SM64DS!

The MissingLinkBowser 2.PNG Interesting...

So does that mean that only Peach and Daisy have artwork??? Javier12345

pRETTY mUCH.

Master Crash

Well, considering the site it was found on was unofficial, I am to deduce this. They could only find some artwork, and decided "Well, fans will want all the characters artwork. What if we re-use old artwork, until the official one comes". That's my theory anyway. My Bloody Valentine

Postponed release?

The article itself says that the game was released in Australia on Monday. The infobox says it's somewhere at the end of November. What's up? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 10:45, 23 October 2007 (EDT)

Nintendo's official website in Australia claimed it was released on 10/22, but there has been no indication on game sites like IGN or Gamespot of this (still 11/23). DP said he was getting the game ASAP, so let's hear it from him. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 16:19, 23 October 2007 (EDT)
Nintendo of Australia made a mistake. I am deeply dissapointed and sad at that. :( My Bloody Valentine Sorry, Cobold. :(

VERY INTERESTING new video

An "overview" of the game menus, very interesting: it shown various minigames, too. click!.

This is Looking Dumb

I think we should make two separate articles for the Wii and Ds versions of the game. I think there will be enough differences for such a suggestion. Any thoughts? Fixitup

Not yet. I think we should wait for the DS version to be released first, so we can see how many differences there are. My Bloody Valentine
Actually, another option is to make two sections, one for the Wii version, one for the DS version. My Bloody Valentine

The Mii is playable. But the status is unknow. Princess Butterfly 14:59, 17 November 2007 (EST)

Mii

Shouldn't we know what class the Mii is in by now? --Trogga 19:23, 18 November 2007 (EST)

I don't think ANY active User on this Wiki has the game. D= That kind of makes me sad. =( Well, I'm getting the game this Thursday. =) I'll soon find out. ;) My Bloody Valentine
OK, I played with my Mii, and guess what? I couldn't find out what its Character type was. =| Maybe it doesn't have one. =| My Bloody Valentine

Statistics

Guys, are the number statistics necessary? They are just rough translations of those bars on the official website. As such, they may be false and inaccurate. Can we remove them, or at least find a better way to list them without using these possibly inaccurate numbers? My Bloody Valentine

Event Articles

Can we make articles on the different events and Dream events? I can find several things to say about them; the description, the controls, what character type is best for it, what event class it falls under, etc. It would be like the several Mini-Game articles. =) My Bloody Valentine

Huh... why not? as you say, there are exactly like minigames, and if you can add this description, controls and more interesting info... do it. Oh, and create Big the Cat article too ;).--Caith Sith 11:59, 27 November 2007 (EST)
