The first appearance of Slippas is in Donkey Kong Country where they, along with Gnawtys and Zingers are one of the most common enemies. Like most enemies Slippas attempt to attack Donkey or Diddy by charging into them, the kongs can simply jump on a Slippa to defeat it. Sometimes Oil Drums will continually spawn an endless number of Slippas until destroyed, the boss Dumb Drum also creates Slippas, among other enemies. Slippas are mostly found in mines, caves and occasionally factories.
