Foreman Spike in Mobile Golf.

Foreman Spike (also known as Blackie in Japan) is the angry foreman of the construction site where Mario and Luigi worked. Rather than help them, Spike continuously tries to hinder the brothers from doing their job and raking in the cash for himself. He is a fat, bearded villain who always wears sunglasses. Foreman Spike is said to be a prototype for Wario, much like Pauline was for Princess Peach.

Wrecking Crew (NES 1985)

Foreman Spike first appeared in the bonus stages of the game Wrecking Crew. While Mario runs around in the foreground, Spike runs around in the background trying to outdo the hero. He will smash down walls, and try knocking Mario off the platform he's standing on. However, Mario can do exactly the same things back to him. He also appears in the later regular stages.

Wrecking Crew '98 (Super Famicom 1998)

Foreman Spike returns in the Japan-only title Wrecking Crew '98. He is the fifth challenger in the puzzle mode game. In this game, Spike is working for Bowser himself, helping the Koopa king build a series of new hideouts. Additionally, Foreman Spike has been completely redesigned as a moustachioed army man (but thankfully this is only a temporary change exclusive to this game).

Mobile Golf (Game Boy Color 2001)

In this Japan-only Game Boy golf title, Foreman Spike is an unlockable character. He has reverted back to his original Wrecking Crew design.

Mario Kart DS (reference)

The Gold Mantis is one of the thirty-six karts in the game, related to Waluigi.
