Pink Yoshis are a variety of Yoshi. The Pink Yoshi of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is only playable on the second level of each world.

Yoshi could turn into a Pink Yoshi in Super Mario Sunshine. If Yoshi ate a Coconut or a Banana, he would turn pink.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, If the Yoshi Kid took 15-18 minutes to hatch, it would hatch as a pink Yoshi kid.

In Mario Power Tennis, Yoshi can change colors every time he performs a Rolling Egg Return, provided the player has completed the Flower Cup with any character. One of the colors that Yoshi can turn is pink.

In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Pink Yoshi debuted with pink skin and orange shoes with an orange saddle. However in the Gameboy Advance remake, Pink Yoshi wore cyan shoes.

From Yoshi's Story and on, Pink Yoshi had yellow shoes and a red saddle, except for Super Mario Sunshine, where he wore orange shoes like the other Yoshis in that game.

Trivia

  • In the orginal Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for the Super Nintendo, the Pink Yoshi was much more magenta in color. However, this was changed in the Game Boy Advance remake Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. In this remake, the Pink Yoshi is a truer pink color, much like the Pink Yoshi from Yoshi's Story.
  • On the cover art picture of the Yoshi's Story cartridge is a large picture of Pink Yoshi sticking its tongue out.
