New Super Mario Bros. for Wii

New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a sidescrolling Mario game announced for the Wii, to be released Holiday 2009. It features a multiplayer mode up to four players. It will feature more items, more levels and more enemies than the DS game of the same name.

Story

Nothing in particular has been revealed. Morton Koopa Jr. is seen in a screenshot of this game suggesting the other Koopalings are in this as well.[1]

The basic style of the game resembles New Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo DS. Players can collect Star Coins and find secret pipes. Parts of the ground have been seen moving.

Players play the game holding the Wii Remote sideways. Shakes of the Wii Remote can active certain items, such as the Propeller Suit.

It's possible to ride on Yoshi as well.[2]
