Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong (known as DK for short) is a stubborn gorilla and the first enemy Mario had in his videogame career. He was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, the guy who also created Mario.
His name likely comes from the movie monster, King Kong, who stands as one the most famous, and classic, monsters of the millennium. Kong could also mean, monkey, or ape.
He appears in some Mario games later got his own series. The original Donkey Kong, who appeared in Donkey Kong was said to be Cranky Kong, DK's father, by Rare, and not Donkey Kong. However Nintendo disagrees with this.
Biography
Donkey Kong Kidnaps Pauline
Donkey Kong kidnapped Pauline duting Donkey Kong and carried her up and up Mario's construction site (rumored to be in Big Ape City), much as King Kong did on top the Empire state building with his love interest. Mario eventually beat Donkey Kong and got Pauline back.
Saving a Dad
In Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong got kidnapped by Mario. Mario was going to take him back to the Zoo (used to be to the circus back then) however Donkey Kong Jr. (said to be the current Donkey Kong) came to save Mario avoiding the Snapjaws.
Donkey Kong later appeared in his own series of games, but it was made by Rare, not Nintendo. In those he was the leader of the ape-like Kongs.
Joining Mario Again
Much later after thier fights, Donkey Kong became a bit friendly in the sport series and Mario Party series. He was playable in the Mario Party series, however in Mario Party 5 and later Mario Party games became more of a host.
Fighting Again
Mario and Donkey Kong duel again in Mario vs. Donkey Kong, it was almost identically similar to the original, though it had better graphics and the newer Donkey Kong. Here instead of stealing Pauline, he steals Mini-Mario Toys, toys made by the Mario Toy Company. Mario like in the origianl Donkey Kong, getsd them back.
In the sequel, Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, he now works in the Mario Toy Company. Donkey Kong then kidnaps Pauline, the V. I. P. guest, when she chooses Mario's Mini-Mario toy over his Mini-DK toy. It is likely that he made the Mini-Donkey Kong toys, and perhaps he created the monkey-like enemies that appear in the game.
