Hey, make sure the aboutfile information you put in your uploads is also transferred to your new file before the file you requested gets deleted. I saw you did add aboutfile information for some updated files, but don't forget any! Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! Replacement uploads

Hello, if you're uploading an image that's meant to replace another one of the same format (e.g. png replacing another png), you don't need to upload separately, just click on the "Upload a new version of this file" link on the old file page under "File history". If you need to rename, click on the "move" tab at the top of the file page. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:03, June 23, 2022 (EDT)

March of the Minis images

I noticed you've been working on March of the Minis lately, so I wanted to ask you something about the game's level images. Is there a reason to keep the top screen? The top screens of those images all have basically the same content on them (the MINIMARIO cards, SCORE 000000, TIME BONUS: 300, etc.), with the only real relevant thing in them being the icons indicating the number of Mini-Marios present in a level, information that be can presented through a simple number on the level charts while taking up a lot less unnecessary space. Therefore, I was thinking about reuploading those images without the top screen. Thoughts? Dark BonesSig.png 14:02, June 29, 2022 (EDT)

I kept the top screen for the level images for consistency with the images already uploaded for Spooky Attic, as well as the images for levels from Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! The top screen doesn't add anything especially important in that game, either, but any existing level screenshots for both games already used the full resolution of the system, and I'd probably rather show the entire system anyway to be accurate to what the player sees during gameplay.
Alternatively, though, we could crop all of those screenshots to only the Touch Screen and display any relevant top screen information separately, including the Mini count and the objects in the inventory the player starts each level with. That would make the actual content of each level more visible in the preview images on the world pages for each game. --ThePowerPlayer (talk) 14:20, June 29, 2022 (EDT)
Cropping the screenshots to Touch Screen only is what I had in mind. Dark BonesSig.png 14:40, June 29, 2022 (EDT)
If that's the case, I could definitely crop those screenshots to the Touch Screen only and display top screen information separately, though it would take a while to do for every level in both games. --ThePowerPlayer (talk) 14:44, June 29, 2022 (EDT)
We could split the work to get it done faster. Since you're already working on March of the Minis anyway, I'll do the Mini-Land Mayhem ones. Dark BonesSig.png 14:58, June 29, 2022 (EDT)
Sounds like a plan! --ThePowerPlayer (talk) 15:07, June 29, 2022 (EDT)

Barbell

Those also appear with the same role in the Game Boy Donkey Kong, so an article may be in order. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:46, July 5, 2022 (EDT)

I was considering making an article about them even without the knowledge that they appear in Donkey Kong (Game Boy), but now I'm sure to make it! Thanks for letting me know. --ThePowerPlayer (talk) 21:47, July 5, 2022 (EDT)

DK boss stage names

Why are you using conjectural names for the DK boss stages when they have official ones? Dark BonesSig.png 13:37, July 17, 2022 (EDT)

I wanted to keep some consistency with the names of the other levels in each world., although you're probably right in thinking that the Boss Game notifications displayed during each boss battle are the correct names of the levels. I would happily look for proof against that, in order to keep the names consistent, but the only reasonable source I could think of for the names of the boss levels is the Shogakukan guide book for the game, which I can't reasonably access. --ThePowerPlayer (talk) 13:47, July 17, 2022 (EDT)
English names take priority over Japanese ones anyway, so the Shogakukan guide doesn't really matter in regards to how we title the article. Plus, the Japanese versions have their own in-game text, so we wouldn't even need the guide for a names in other languages section. Dark BonesSig.png 13:57, July 17, 2022 (EDT)
Fair points. Guess I'll go ahead and change every instance of Room #-DK to Boss Game # instead. That's on me for using the incorrect names for this long. --ThePowerPlayer (talk) 14:17, July 17, 2022 (EDT)
On that note, please use the "Move" function in the future (next to the "Edit" and "History" tabs) instead of performing what's called a "cut-and-paste move". If a page move is obstructed by a redirect, just tag it for deletion. Thanks! Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 16:03, July 17, 2022 (EDT)
My apologies. I'll make sure to use the "Move" function from now on. --ThePowerPlayer (talk) 16:13, July 17, 2022 (EDT)

Please stop making unconstructive edits on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. Do not perform any major action (in this case, merging the page Big Chomp and Little Chomp with another article) without community consensus; your previous attempt to merge it with Game Guy's Sweet Surprise was revoked, and so far, the discussion you've initiated here has only had one other user weighing in.
