So, do you want to write for The 'Shroom? Well, you've come to the right place! Here are some steps that you should follow if you want to start writing for the paper.

• If you need to stray from the release schedule you agreed to when applying for any reason (such as going on vacation or handling an emergency off of the wiki), be sure to contact the Core 'Shroom Staff member that you submit your sections to: we will work something out.
• Feel free to suggest new section ideas or even apply for an already filled position, for we don't mind two different perspectives on a similar subject.
• If you have any more questions about signing up and writing for The 'Shroom, please contact either Super Mario Bros. or Tucayo.

The application form is as follows:

1.) Which position would you like to apply for? 2.) Writers have the choice to submit sections monthly, bi-monthly (every other month), or volunteer-based (one-time submission). Please select which section plan you would like to observe. 3.) The staff reserves the right to remove writers from their position if their actions reflect badly on The 'Shroom. Actions like these include extensive misbehavior on any part of the community. Do you accept this condition? 4.) Please write a full-length demo of your section. That way, we can have a bit of your work to decide if you can be on the team. Your demo section and all sections that follow must comply with our policies at The 'Shroom:Manual of Style. Failure to do so may result in the immediate rejection of your demo.

The Core Staff will have a week to review your application, and you will receive your results within a couple of days after the week passes.

5	Smasher (talk)	Activities Manager – Manages special events, elections, and other various activities assigned by the Director. Writes the Activity Announcements each month.
6	YoshiKong (talk)	Spotlight Manager – Coordinates The 'Shroom Spotlight and provides updates on the project.
7	Fake News Team	Fictional news section.
8	Fun Stuff Team	A series of games and fun sections for readers to participate in.
9	Music and Artwork Team	The artistic part of the wiki, box-arts, music, comics and more!
10	Pipe Plaza Team	Find out all wiki-related events such as promotions, retiring users, updates, statistics, and more in the Pipe Plaza.
11	Critic Corner Team	Reviews and opinion pieces for games, movies, books, and more.

Most aspects of the location need to be described, like the temperature, costs, lodging prices, atmosphere, etc. Section has to be convincing like a real traveling pamphlet. Packages, insurance, and other minor details are optional.
3	Position is vacant	Hot Records – A description of 1-2 fake music albums or songs. The songs are related to users or characters in the Mario series.	V
4	Position is vacant	TV Tomorrow – A description of 1-2 fake TV shows, related to either Wiki users or characters in the Mario series. The description can include a dialogue from an episode and/or screenshots.	V
5	Yoshi K (talk)	Game Corner – A description of 1-2 fake Mario games for the Wii or DS.
6	Alexneushoorn (talk)	Police Blotter – A section including crime reports, deaths, and injuries regarding Mario Characters, as well as a wanted poster about a Mario character. All general information must be included, such as reward money, dead or alive status, crime committed, etc. All Wanted Posters must have WANTED at the top. Physical traits, skin color, and hair color can be described.

If the writer changes one similar character into another, he or she must state which two made the swap. The writer must hand in the original image AND the photoshopped one.	V
