Mario Family is the first ever sewing machine to be operated by a Nintendo Game Boy Color: the JN-100. Another more recent model, the JN-2000, also works with a Game Boy Color. Mario Family was devised by a company called Jaguar. It was released on September 10, 2001 only in Japan.

The way that these models work is that they receive instructions from the Game Boy Color, and with these instructions embroider special designs onto fabric.

Patterns

The Mario Family cartridge had 32 patterns stored in it. The patterns are:
