::I think in general, two games based around a fairly vague gimmick isn't really qualifying for a "series." The sports games like ''Mario Baseball'' seem actually valid as a series, but these just come off as off-kilter DKC spinoffs to me. :I was just about to ask the same thing until I found this was posted almost two years before me. It seems like a stretch to call this the DK series, not just because they don't even have the same Japanese name, but because there's not even any evidence listed on the article that the two games ever were collectively called the "''DK'' series". And what conjectural name could you give this series of two games anyway? The "''King of Swing'' and ''Jungle Climber'' series"? The "Donkey Kong peg-climbing game series"? I wouldn't really call this a "series," it's more just two games, the second of which is a sequel. The "name" is contestable as well, it's just a convenient shorthand for "Donkey Kong" and the lang-of-origin titles aren't even close to each other (Burabura Donkey and Donkey Kong Jungle Climber).
