Ancient Lake.
Ancient Lake is the first track in set for Diddy Kong Racing and it's DS counterpart.
This track has been made for the beginner racers and is fairly easy due to low level computer A.I. This track also holds the key to the locked door in Dino Domain. It is in an over-looked area on a ramp that requires a speed boost to get to. It's balloon pop Challenge is surprisingly tricky for the DS , but fairly easier than the other tracks'.
The track was changed a bit for the DS release. It has an under-rock passageway lit with sunlight near the end of the lap, unlike the N64 's which had an open drive patio.
- Required Balloons to get in first time: One Golden Balloon
- Required Balloons to get in the second time : Six Golden balloons
