They have two sides: a safe area indicated by spots on one side, and a serrated, harmful edge on the other that can cause Baby Mario to fall off a Yoshi's back. Yoshis can flip the platforms by striking Switch Blocks of their corresponding color either by hitting them or shooting them with an egg. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, they are first found in Salvo The Slime's Castle in a room past the room with the Middle Ring with green and red color variations.
