Template:Minigame-infobox Musical Mushroom is a 4-player minigame that is found during the events of the Nintendo 64 game, Mario Party. Its name is a pun on musical chairs.

Introduction

The minigame takes place in a forest where a group of six small blue mushrooms occupy around the single large orange mushroom. There are four players that are equally on the circular path, staring at the floating Treasure Chest. Forest background can be heard, and then the minigame starts.

Gameplay

The objective of the minigame is to be the first player in the minigame to reach for the treasure chest in 30 seconds. The minigame starts with four players circling the group of blue mushrooms when the music plays. The music continues to play until it abruptly stops.

Players then have an opportunity to reach the treasure chest through a variety of ways. Players can attack by punching, ground-pounding, or jumping. Players can also use one blue mushroom to reach the treasure chest more easily, or they can simply run towards the center and reach it. It is also possible to jump on the red mushroom without using the blue platforms by executing a timed jump.

The player who reaches the floating treasure chest wins the minigame.

The minigame can be purchased from the Mini-Game House for 150 Coins.
