Well, I go to the contributions of the user who made the edit you want to revert, and rollback there. There's probably an easier way, and I've just missed it. HK

Vacation

Community Portal

If you would like to make a community portal I can help you get started, but I would like you to try to maintain it, if you could. If people like the idea we'll keep it. However, if people don't use it or need it, the community portal will probably disappear like those New pages we saw the other day. -- Son of Suns

Hex Colors

Sorry for the wait.

#RRGGBB / #RGB<br> ''Hex colors'' represent the red, green, and blue values, each letter being either 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, or F, going from dark to light. So 000000 = black, 999999 = gray, and FFFFFF = white. 000099 will produce a shade of blue (last two numbers), while 990000 will produce a shade of red. In Mediawiki, one number can represent two if they are the same: #4400FF = #40F. If you are using a complicated hex color, such as #195353, #2B8329, or any pair that doesn't match, Mediawiki will also accept the full version. There are 16,777,216 hex color combinations (16 different varieties of digits/letters and 6 of them, or 166), which is quite a bit. Try googling "Hex Color" for generators and lists of colors, or play around with a picture program. Wayoshi

Well, to make a template, type "Template: Whatever" in the search box. A screen will say that it does not exist and you can make it. Whatever you put in the edit box is what will appear on the screen when you place the template in the article. For a few examples, go to the main page and click the word "articles". Then, instead of (Main), switch the articles to "Templates" to see a variety of templates. You could even copy one of those than modify it to make your new template. --Son of Suns 14:42, 19 July 2006 (EDT)

Big Eight

I know the Big 8 are underdeveloped, but there is a lot of stuff missing from our articles, such as history (both in-universe and out), abilities and traits, and game appearances. Also, a lot of the Big 8 articles were copy directly from Wikipedia. They should be written anew from a Marioverse persepective.

You could also pick a game you have noticed we have very little information on (but is a game you own) and research everything in the game to enlighten us.

Or go to random pages and add everything you know, or even research the first page that pops up and complete the article the best that you can.

Another project that needs to be worked on is seperating the Yoshi page to a Yoshi (character) page (for the main Green Yoshi) and a Yoshi (species) page, for information about the Yoshis as a race, not one character. --Son of Suns 13:42, 19 July 2006 (EDT)

Ideas

Here are a few ideas:

  • Pick a major character (one of the Big Eight perhaps), and make major contributions to the article, making it very detailed and very resourceful. Some of the minor Mario character articles I have written, such as Bowser Jr., are much longer than the major players! This should not be.
  • Pick a favorite game and slowly play though it, taking notes as you go. Then transfer your notes to the appropriate articles (or even create new articles).
  • Go through the most wanted list or recent change list, creating new articles.
  • More Miyamoto???
  • Most of the game articles need a lot of work. Good info can be found at Wikipedia.
