Uploads[edit]

Hello, DandyAndy1989. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, DandyAndy1989. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:

  • {{photo}} - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
  • {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
  • {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic.
  • {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books.
  • {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows.
  • {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies.
  • {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, DandyAndy1989. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded coding is shown below.

{{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line of the variable(s) you don't use. If you do not wish to use the template at all, then it is acceptable to simply remove it before you upload the file. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using {{aboutfile}} incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Other than these, I would like to notify you that a lot of the images you uploaded are duplicates. They just aren't on the page yet. List of Mario Party Superstars minigames is the only page which uses the original images.Wario (Cowboy) from Mario Kart TourWildWario (talk) 02:59, April 1, 2022 (EDT)

Please follow the reminders above and stop uploading duplicate images when there are already existing images for the minigames on List of Mario Party Superstars minigames which you were already linked. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 10:15, April 1, 2022 (EDT)

I'm sorry. I'm still trying to get the hang of things and I didn't take categorization into consideration. I also didn't think to check that link for screenshots. From here on out, I'll just add the ones from there and put them in. But what about minigames with different layouts? Are those fine?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by DandyAndy1989 (talk).
Yes, different layouts (like with Bumper Balls) that don't have images yet are fine. Before uploading anything, though, it's best to check related galleries and categories first (Gallery:Mario Party Superstars, Category:Mario Party Superstars images, any relevant articles) in case an image already exists. Okay then. Thank you for your warning and I am sure this will make me learn from that mistake. User:DandyAndy1989/sig

You didn't fill out the "aboutfile" template. Please fill them out when uploading or remove the entire template (though the former is recommended). You also don't need to add the Category:Game screenshots-type category when the license already takes care of that. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 11:33, April 4, 2022 (EDT)

By artist, does it mean the artist behind the game, or the artist who uploaded the image? User:DandyAndy1989/sig

The artist behind the game; usually users add "Nintendo" or just omit it altogether. Any parameters like that or "Other versions (use file link)" that you don't really need can be removed entirely, but "Subject of the image" and "Where you found the image" are generally the most important ones.
Also, regarding Ticktock Hop, please avoid repeating the same edit after you've noticed it's been removed from the page. In cases like that, check the article's history page first (on mobile, it's the "Last edited" link at the bottom of the article) to see why the edit was removed (in this case, the image is already on the page under "Gameplay"). Understanding that avoids flooding the history page with unnecessary edits. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 06:32, April 5, 2022 (EDT)

I haven't been checking that because every kther minigame's page had its own separate gallery section. I just figured it would ve the same case for that one. But I guess not.

Wario Touched[edit]

Hi, noticed you've been putting up the character stories in the story section of wario touched. They are already acknowledged in the table of the gameplay section. Besides, you have made afew typoes when you has written those character story subsections. For these character stories already written under Gameplay, i think its best to merge or delete all those cluttery character stories subsections.

P.S. These sections you wrote have no links in their paragraphs. Don't click Penny PnnyCrygr User contributions 18:10, May 13, 2023 (EDT)

Okay, I undid my edits. Sorry about that.
