Tundra Blunda is the seventeenth level in Donkey Kong Land III. and the fifth level of Blackforest Plateau. As a snow-themed level, Tundra Blunda features an icy path and slopes. Like Lemguin Lunge from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Tundra Blunda features Lemguins, which spawn from the holes in the ground indefinitely then belly slide toward Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong. There are a few pits that the Kongs can go across by jumping from Niknaks. "Blunda" in the level's name is derived from "blunder", changed to rhyme with "tundra".
Tundra Blunda is the seventeenth level in Donkey Kong Land III. Located in the east of Blackforest Plateau, in the snowy foothills of a mountain range, it is the fifth level in this area.
Layout
When the level begins, the Kongs head down a small slope to find the letter K. While walking down the pathway at this point, they spot numerous enemies, and also jump over a few snow-bound houses. After passing many Skiddas and Krimps, they make their way down another slope and cross a small gap. Shortly after that, they are greeted by the first group of Lemguins. The heroes have to dodge the penguin-like enemies and head over a snow capped house. Once they pass a small gap, they need to make their way up the path, getting over a few small chasms and hopping over some house tops. Eventually, they pass a second tribe of Lemguins to find the Star Barrel.

About halfway through the level, the group has to cross a large gap by bouncing on some Niknaks, and then avoid more Lemguins. Shortly after that, they are up to the challenge of passing two Knockas and then jumping over small alcoves in the ground. One of these alcoves hsd the letter N in it. At that point, they bounce on some more Niknaks to cross another abyss and avoid yet another Lemguin tribe. Walking down a small slope takes the Kongs to the area with the letter G, where they have to head up another small slope and jump over some more Lemguins. After traveling over a rather plain path for a while, they can find a flagpole. One touch of the pole ends the level.
To complete this level, Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong must cross a large snowfield, home to several tribes of Lemguins. Indeed, these sharp-billed penguins have dug many holes in the tundra, from which they leap out to attack the Kongs. In addition, Dixie and Kiddy have to face gangs of Skiddas and Krimps. Other enemies, Knockas, are also especially dangerous in this level, since the icy, slippery ground allows them to knock the Kongs back farther than in other areas. Knik-Knaks also populate this snowfield.

Enemies
Noticeably, Tundra Blunda is this game's equivalent to Lemguin Lunge from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.

K-O-N-G Letters
About halfway through the level, the group has to cross a large gap by bouncing on some Knik-Knaks, and then avoid more Lemguins. Shortly after that, they are up to the challenge of passing two Knockas and then jumping over small alcoves in the ground. One of these alcoves hsd the letter N in it. At that point, they bounce on some more Knik-Knaks to cross another abyss and avoid yet another Lemguin tribe. Walking down a small slope takes the Kongs to the area with the letter G, where they have to head up another small slope and jump over some more Lemguins. *K: Underneath the first Skidda encountered.

*O: Found near a Lemguin hole.

*N: Found in a pit to the right of a Niknak
Bonus Levels
*G: Underneath a Skidda, in front of a house.
*At the very start of the level, the apes should head backwards and pass a Knocka to find a house top. If they jump upwards on the center of it, they land in a hidden Bonus Barrel. It takes them to a Bonus Level, where they need to run through the area and defeat some Buzzes with barrels. Once all the foes are defeated, a Bonus Coin appears at the end of the stage.
*A while after the letter K, the heroes can find a lone Knik-Knak floating in the air. If they jump on it, the impact shoots them into the air, where they need to move to the left. If they land in the correct area airborne, they should land in a hidden barrel. This barrel shoots them into a Bonus Barrel, leading to a Bonus Level. There, they apes have to quickly run through an area full of slippery hills. On their journey, they need to watch out for some dangerous Lemguins. At the end of the stage, the primates can find the Bonus Coin.

*At the end of the level, the heroes have to jump over the flagpole to find the Koin with the DK Coin. To defeat the odd Kremling, they need to pick up a nearby steel keg and stand on him. While on the foe's strong shield, they should throw the keg at the nearest wall. The barrel should bounce back and hit the distracted Koin. This defeats the enemy, thus giving the Kongs the DK Coin.
At the very end, the Kongs must jump over the End of Level Flag to find the Koin. They must pick up a nearby Steel Barrel and throw it at the wall on the right, either from the left side of Koin or on top of it. The Steel Barrel ricochets into Koin, defeating him, and the Kongs obtain the DK Coin.

*"Blunda" is a modified orthograph for "Blunder." The word was probably changed so that it would rhyme with "Tundra".
*Bash the Baddies!: At the very start of the level, the Kongs must go left and pass a Knocka. They must jump on the center on the roof of a chalet to land into a hidden Bonus Barrel. In the Bonus Level, Dixie or Kiddy have to defeat three Buzzes, each from using one of the three barrels. When the Kongs defeat every Buzz, the Bonus Coin appears on the rightmost part of the Bonus Level.
*Since the song "Frosty Frolics" from Donkey Kong Country 3 was not included in this Game Boy sequel, the song "Cascade Capers", used in waterfall levels, also plays in Tundra Blunda.
*Find the Token!: After the letter K, there is a Niknak flying in the air. Dixie or Kiddy must bounce from it to the left to land in another hidden Blast Barrel, which blasts them up to a Bonus Barrel. In the Bonus Level, the Kongs to get to the Bonus Coin on the right end of the Bonus Levels. They must avoid the Lemguins that indefinitely pop out from the holes in the ground.

*Since the song "Frosty Frolics" from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! was not included in this Game Boy sequel, the song "Cascade Capers", used in waterfall levels, also plays in Tundra Blunda.
*In later revisions of Donkey Kong Land III (namely English v1.1 and Japanese), a pit was added after the last Steel Barrel at the end.
