Super Mario World is one of 18-Volt's microgames in WarioWare Gold. It is based on the game of the same name for the SNES.

Gameplay[edit]

The player must control Cape Mario as he glides to collect coins. Once enough coins are collected, the 1-Up jingle plays.

  • 1st level difficulty: The coins are arranged in three horizontal rows, and Mario must collect fifty of them. The coin layout on this level is similar to that of the secret area in Donut Plains 1 from the original game, which might have been the intended reference.
  • 2nd level difficulty: The coins are arranged in alternating groups of three, and Mario must collect thirty of them.
  • 3rd level difficulty: The coins are arranged in a large zigzag or text saying "NINTENDO" or "THANK YOU", and Mario must collect twenty of them.

Trivia[edit]

  • In Super Mario Advance 2, the 2002 remake of Super Mario World for the Game Boy Advance, the secret area in Donut Plains 1 gives an incentive to collect as many coins as possible, similarly to the coin counter featured in this microgame.
