Room 3-1 (titled Room 2-1 in the British English version) is the first course of Magnet Mania in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again!. The course introduces Magnets, platforms that the mini toys are able to walk on from all sides. To escape a Magnet, the minis have to step onto a non-magnetic surface, which can be part of the level's structure or a Pink Block.

The course features three mini toys.

Overview[edit]

Two minis start in the bottom left facing a Magnet that runs up, while the third mini starts on a platform further up to the right, facing a gap containing a grid for Pink Blocks and spikes at the bottom. On the bottom right, across the spikes, the Goal Door is located. The minis in the bottom left should walk on the Magnet in front of them until they reach the top, where they should be dropped off with Pink Blocks and continue heading right. When all minis are grouped together, the player should guide them with Pink Blocks to the Goal Door.

Mini Mario Card[edit]

The Mini Mario Card is at the top of the Magnet on the left, on a portion that extends from the wall. The minis can collect it if they climb the Magnet and go around this extended portion.

M-Token[edit]

The M-Token is in an alcove opposite from the Goal Door. It can be reached and collected by guiding the minis there with Pink Blocks over the pit of spikes that separates the token and the Goal Door.
