Handcar Escape is one of Dr. Crygor, Penny, and Mike's microgames in WarioWare: Move It!.

Gameplay[edit]

The player stands opposite someone else on a handcar and must pump the lever up and down to propel the handcar forward and escape a boulder, with the other person automatically pumping. If the player pumps enough times, the boulder falls into a hole activated by two people on buttons, and everyone cheers. If the player takes too long to pump and the boulder catches up to them, it flattens both people on the handcar, and the game is lost. There is a mirror attached to the handcar showing how far away the boulder is. In multiplayer, the other person is controlled by a second player. As the boulder is visible on the second player's split screen, the mirror is removed.

  • Level 1: The player(s) must pump four times to escape the boulder in a grassy field.
  • Level 2: The player(s) must pump six times to escape the boulder underwater. Both people on the handcar are wearing diving suits.
  • Level 3: The player(s) must pump eight times to escape the boulder on the Moon. Both people on the handcar are wearing space suits.

In the megagame version of this microgame in Megagame Muscles, Level 3's visuals are used, and there is no boulder. The command is changed to "Keep pumping!" and 22 muscle is gained for each successful pump.
