The Wii U is Nintendo's latest console, announced at E3 2011. It was also confirmed that it supports 1080p (high-definition) graphics and is backwards-compatible with Wii hardware and software.

The controller of the Wii U has a touch screen, similar to that of the DS. There are two Circle Pads, one on each side of the controller. The controller also has a Control Pad and the A, B, X, Y buttons found on the DS, L and R buttons on the shoulders, as well as ZL and ZR buttons similar to those found on the Classic Controller. Its other features include a microphone, speakers, and an inward-facing camera.

Using the controller, one can browse the internet, send videos, and flip channels. Games for this console can be played on the TV screen, the controller screen, or a combination of each.[1]
