PNG Compression

Your explanation on compressing images is a little...confusing. I was wondering if you ever tried PNGout, a PNG image compressor. It compresses the file size of .png images without loss of quality. I explained to you why image galleries do not use cropped screenshots, and I'm telling you now, you don't make an image transparent because when you do you're damaging the edges of the actual image by forcibly cutting out the small bits that make the edges smooth.
