Editprotected/suggestion

When the delete template is placed in talk page, it says that I'm need to delete the talk page of talk page. It's possible to fix, example:
{{#ifeq:{{TALKSPACE}}|{{NAMESPACE}}|Don't delete the page itself, only this talk page|{{#ifexist:{{TALKPAGENAME}}|<u>Delete</u> the talk page as well.}}}}
It includes: check if the temple is in talkspace and if not, checks talkspace for existing. SWFlash

The #ifexist function doesn't work very well - it glitches up Special:Wantedpages IIRC. Marioguy1 (talk)

Link to deletion policy

In the template, there should be a link to the deletion policy to allow newbies to understand the meaning of deletion. --Bryce talk contributions 21:28, 10 January 2012 (EST)

It's more of a tool to let admins track down things that need deleting, but I suppose a link wouldn't hurt, especially if it's colour-linked to be black so it doesn't stick out and clash with the greyscale motif of the template. - Walkazo 11:29, 12 January 2012 (EST)

I thought I explained because there was a parameter that can be used but is not documented. There is just no documentation how to use the template. {{tobedeleted}} also has this issue. Many templates we use regularly have no documentation and related templates. {{reminder}} and {{rewrite}} do what {{delete}} don't. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) ^{(Stats - Contribs)} 19:23, 1 August 2016 (EDT)

I don't see the harm in providing a usage section in noinclude tags, but overall, it's not wholly necessary, especially since there is only one parameter you can modify in a lot of these. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 19:28, 1 August 2016 (EDT)
