Super Mario-Kun is a Japanese-published Mario comic book series written by Yukio Sawada and published by Shogakukan. The comic is printed monthly in CoroCoro Comic. They contained many of the characters and scenarios of various Mario games, including Super Mario World and Paper Mario. Below are the covers of all of the books, up to the most recent.

This issue also include a special chapter with short stories based on past games (at the time), such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong. November 28, 1991

3 Third comic book of the Super Mario World series as the comics live in. The front cover has Princess Peach riding on Yoshi. Includes a chapter with a ton of cameos from Super Mario Land. January 28, 1992
Super Mario-kun #3
4 Fourth issue of the series that once again features the plot, object, and character based on the game Super Mario World. This issue includes some Christmas special short comic, a special chapter with the author, a story "based" on Mario Paint, a story when Mario actually goes to Hyrule and a climatic fight with Mario vs. Bowser. 5 The last series of the comic book based on the game Super Mario World. The story was supposed to end in the last issue, but there's a new twist to the story. December 16, 1992

6 The company next features a comic book that is based on the game, Super Mario Kart; the first and only comic book based on that game. The front cover features Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Yoshi racing in various tracks. Additionally, Yoshi is holding an Yoshi Egg. There is a Lakitu that has a microphone with a speaker to see the race. 7 This next comic book is based on the game Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. In the front cover, there is a Mario figure that appeared in Mario Zone. Mario is hanging out on the figure while Wario, a new enemy, hides behind the figure. Also, there's a Carrot power-up on the cover. Additionally, Bowser, Luigi, and Yoshi appeared on the comic but not in the actual game. June 28, 1993

8 This is another comic book that is once again based on the game, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. At the front cover, the reader will see a form of Racoon Mario, and Bunny Mario. Also, there's a another Mario holding a Turnip that came from the game, Super Mario Bros. 2. September 28, 1993

9 The ninth comic book in the series is based on the game, Yoshi's Safari due to the fact Mario is holding a Super Scope on the front cover. The front cover shows that there is Bowser wearing the protected armor, a Yoshi Coin, Luigi, some items such as a Mushroom, a Fire Flower and a Starman and Wario. Luigi and Wario aren't in the actual game. December 16, 1993

10 Possibly based on the game, Super Mario All Stars plus the game; Super Mario World. At the front cover, it shows that there are lots of things that came from the game as it has various enemies, Wart, and all of Mario's friends and foes. Several enemies from Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins also appear. May 28, 1994
Super Mario-kun #10
11 Based on the game, Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land and in the game Wario's Woods. In the Wario Land adaptation, Mario and Yoshi goes with Wario in the trip to stop Captain Syrup, while, in the, Wario's Woods adaptation, Wanda appears in Peach's Castle Garden asking for help to stop Wario, so Mario, Yoshi, Luigi and Toad goes to help her. In the front cover, there are forms that Wario can gain from the Jar Powerups. October 28, 1994
Issue 11 of Super Mario-kun
12 The last comic book that is based on the game once again, Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land. There's the second part of the adaptation of Wario's Woods. The front cover once again features the same Jar Powerups. Additionally, Luigi appears in the middle of the Wario Land adaptation, and Donkey Kong made some cameos in some chapters of the same adaptation, either helping or causing trouble. March 28, 1995
Super Mario-kun #12
13 May be based on the game, Mario's Picross, as there is a huge Mario face in the cover. Additionally; Bowser, Luigi, Wario, Birdo, and Yoshi appeared in the comic book. August 28, 1995

14 The next comic book is based on the game, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and based into Donkey Kong Country. Inside the comic start the both first parts of both adaptations with some changes; Adult Mario with Adult Luigi travels to the past to stop Adult Bowser for help Kamek to kidnap the two baby twins and help Yoshi to deliver Baby Mario, and, Mario and Yoshi finish in Donkey Kong Country where Cranky Kong asks for help for Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong in the task to stop King K. Rool. Inside the comic are some 4-komas based on Donkey Kong Country 2 with both Diddy and Dixie. In the front cover, there is some type of background that is based on the game, which appear Adult Mario and Luigi, the former holding an egg. January 27, 1996

15 It seems the comic book is based on the game, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Super Mario 64 as this comic book is a cross-over between the two. In the front cover, it shows Mario flying with the Wing Cap as Baby Mario possibly uses the Starman to gain the Cape and Yoshi and his Yoshi-Copter form. June 1996
