Mummy Me are enemies that appear to resemble mummified Toads. They made their debut in the Wii U title Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker as troublemakers who follow Captain Toad in certain levels. At first, a single Mummy Me appears by following Captain Toad; however, as he proceeds onwards to additional levels, more Mummy Me start spawning.
Mummy Me appear to behave similar to the Cosmic Clone enemies that first appeared in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Whether the Mummy Me were once live Toads or simply spirits that resemble the Toad species is unknown. Before their official name was revealed, fans had dubbed them 'Shadow Toads'.
