Ice Blocks are frozen version of Gold Blocks in Super Mario Bros. 3. They're the only blocks that can be used as weapons, by either the player or enemies. If a Buster Beetle gets its hands on one, it will throw it at high speeds towards Mario or Luigi. In Super Mario World they can also be picked up but dissapear soon after.
