SMB2 and DKCTF both had Tanabe in management roles and he even stated that at least one gameplay mechanic from the former (plucking things/grabbing enemies and throwing them) was carried over to the latter, so a comparison to Mouser isn't far-fetched. i also fail to see how karbine is comparable beyond the fact that they shoot stuff; at that point, anything that shoots something is

Harolds are enemies in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port. They are large, hare-like Snowmads related to Fluffs. Enemies of a similar build, Hareys, also appear in the game.

Appearance
Harolds attack the Kongs by throwing an unlimited supply of Watermelon Fuse Bombs at them from one spot, occasionally making short hops which allow them to throw the bombs further. They can damage the Kongs directly if simply touched from the sides. The Kongs can defeat a Harold by picking up one of its bombs and throwing it back at the enemy; alternatively, they can roll into or jump on it a total of three times.
Each Harold has a rotund body and displays a Viking-styled braided beard, with each knit featuring a painting of a sharp triangle that points towards the beard's end. The beard is grown around a small face, consisting of a round bunny snout over a tiny incisor tooth, a small red nose, and minuscule eyes under two bushy brows. A Harold's figure seems upset or maddened, as it characterizes its temper. A Harold also features two distant ears, fastened with blue hair ties as if they were hair ponytails. A splayed bun is on top of a Harold's head, which is also tightened by a blue hair tie.

Unlike many other Snowmad warriors, Harolds remain in one spot. However, they may jump from time to time in an attempt to gain impulse. They attack by throwing Watermelon Fuse Bombs at the Kongs. Donkey Kong can attack a Harold by picking up the bomb and throwing it back at it. When defeated, a Harold screams while falling off-screen. The Kongs can also defeat a Harold by performing a Roll Attack three times or by stomping on it three times.
