Bristles is a porcupine enemy in the game Donkey Kong Country 3. They replaced Spinys that were from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Since they are porcupines, their quills are deadly. They can also roll up and hurtle toward a Kong. To defeat one, an ape must make an attack on the front while one of the baddies is walking about, as the rear and top are very prickly.
