In the mandatory play of Bink's Barrel minigame, Mario and Luigi must match five [[barrel]]s in a row ten times to win.

In the original game, Bink resembles a skeletal [[Kong]], particularly [[Donkey Kong]]. He also throws the barrels onto the board in his minigame, which is a reference to ''[[Donkey Kong (game)|Donkey Kong]]'', and eats [[banana]]s when he is bored. In the 3DS remake, Bink uses the same character model as the rest of the sailors, a drastic change to his appearance compared to the original version.
