Badge Points (BP) are stat points used in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In both games, badges are special items that Mario can equip to give him new abilities. Each badge requires a certain amount of BP to equip, which is considered "used up" when the badge is equipped. Badges can be shuffled around at any time outside of battle to free up BP for use on other badges. Mario can also choose to increase his maximum BP by three points every time he levels up.

In Paper Mario, Mario's BP maxes out at 30, while in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, his maximum BP is 99.
