Template:Racecourse Banshee Boardwalk (Hyuudoro Lake in the Japanese Version) is the third track in the Special Cup of Mario Kart 64. It resembles the Ghost Valley courses from Super Mario Kart. The race begins on a boardwalk with some guardrails missing. Because the setting was at night, it is easy to fall into the water below. Additionally, a Cheep-Cheep sometimes tries to Jump out of the water and swallow the racers whole. The second half of the race features an abandoned shack where bats fly at the racers, lowering their speed. The bats don't appear in Time Trial mode.
This course returned as the second track in the Lightning Cup of Mario Kart DS. The Cheep Cheep is replaced by a Big Bertha and bats were replaced by Swoopers. The Boss Bass jumps so high, he cannot swallow the racers. Finally, the Swoopers appear in Time Trial. The Boos (like in Luigi's Mansion) appear only during Grand Prix and Time Trial.
