Nice job

Hey Yoshi's Island, nice job on your contributions :D Keep it up. Also, about your images, try not to take images from a camera onto devices cause they result in bad quality. You can use emulators instead, or if you just think you can't do it, put the {{image}} tag on top of the article. I hope to see you around here more :) Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???

Thanks! Is it not better to have a bad image, rather than none at all? If someone can get a better image, it's only to replace it. Or? - Yoshi's Island 10:17, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh I forgot to mention this on the top haha, of course it's better to have a bad image than none at all :P Just be sure to tag it with {{image-quality}} and your good to go! :D Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Can you obtain a picture of a Custom Ticket too? Just before you wrote to me for the first time, I took a picture of one. (Please feel free to correct me if I write bad English, when I learn for the next time!) - Yoshi's Island 10:29, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Sure sure, no problem. I can give you the emulator if you want so you can take your own pictures and upload them. And no way, your english is perfectly fine! :P Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Thanks, but what is an emulator? Yoshi's Island 10:37, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
An emulator is something that "imitates" the original device, so you can do whatever you want. What i'm talking of, is game emulators. For example, i'm using Visual Boy Advance to emulate Mario Golf, and im taking screenshots too. Visual Boy Advance isn't a real Game Boy Advance, but rather a program used to imitate the functionalities of it. Also, where are the custom tickets lol? Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
So, is it a machine, or a program to the computer? I took an image on a Custom Ticket in the Custom Club Shop. Ask the man at the counter and select the top option (I can't remember what it says). - Yoshi's Island 10:48, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Program to the computer, most of the time an .exe file, but can be java based too. Also thanks :P Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Hmm, that seems very complicated. I have no software or cable so I can connect the Game Boy Advance to my computer. It's probably better that other users (like you), takes on the matter (although it is fun to upload images). - Yoshi's Island 10:57, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh no no no, you just download something off the internet and thats it! No cables or anything required :P. Here ill give the link to you: http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/gba/vboyadvance.html

Download 1.80 beta3, and youve got yourself an emulator! Ill tell you more tommorow, its 4 am where I am lol. You can upload that screenshot you took with your camera, and tommorow i will teach you how to make the image you took the highest quality possible with emulators :P Cya for now YI! Okay, good night! Questions that you can answer tomorrow (or today for me :)): Is it legal to download games that actually cost money? I don't want to get a fine or imprisonment! - Yoshi's Island 11:40, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Well, this is how it is. If you own the game, you can download the game and keep it till whenever, however if you don't, then yea, it is illegal cause you didn't purchase it. However, it's extremely rare that officials are going to fine you or imprison you, since that vast majority on the internet do the same thing. The odds of having that happen are probably the same as winning the jackpot in the lottery. Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Okay, good. While we are discussing what's legal and not, can I upload an image of something that has to do with Mario, which I have found on the Internet. For example, an artwork or a screenshot? - Yoshi's Island 19:15, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Of course you can! That's what the MarioWiki is haha. If it's an official artwork or screenshot, then you can put it on a wiki page. But if its fanart, then you have to tag "{{personal-image|Yoshi's Island}}" with the image you are uploaded. You can then use the image on your userpage, signature, etc. :P Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Okay :)!!! I just wondered, because you can't do it on Wikipedia . - Yoshi's Island 19:30, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh, is it like a minor screenshot or art? Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
That do you mean? - Yoshi's Island 19:34, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Like a screenshot of a custom ticket or something. Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Are you talking about what is allowed on Wikipedia or Super Mario Wiki? Wikipedia: NO!!! Images such as video game screenshots or toys is not allowed! Super Mario Wiki: I don't know! - Yoshi's Island 19:56, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Yea I was talking about uploading on Wikipedia. You can upload mostly anything Mario related as long as it's official. See here if you need further details and stuff. Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
