Personally I believe these articles (character and species) may be served best merged together. And sex is a perfectly acceptable word to use in an encyclopedia article, especially when referring to a transvestite character. -- Son of Suns (talk) Officially, according to the Super Mario Bros. 2 manual (and many other sources), Birdo is a boy who dresses like a girl. So you can think whatever you want, but officially some or all of the Birdo characters are transvestites. And transvestitism is perfectly acceptable, not abnormal, so don't be judgmental. -- Son of Suns (talk) Well officially that Birdo does exist, but she exists in Subcon, the world of Mario's dreams (which the Smash Bros. fighters even travel to). Even the main pink Birdo is of indeterminate gender.
