All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. is an officially licensed Super Mario Bros. copy in that the gameplay is the same, but some of the enemies are replaced with rock stars from the Japanese show All Night Nippon. Also, some levels are taken from the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 and Vs. Super Mario Bros. The game was a raffle prize from the All Night Nippon radio station, and ran on the Famicom Disk System. It also had other graphic changes, such as the clouds with smiley faces, and the ground which, in the game, is rocky instead of brick pathed.

Differences

  • Goombas and Piranha Plants have been changed to big-headed DJs.
  • Microphones changed the mushrooms found in the background.
  • The Fujisankei (the company that runs All Night Nippon) logo is found on the flag that is raised when Mario enters a fortress.
  • The Fujisankei logo is also found as the ax that sits behind Bowser.
  • The Mushroom Retainers and Princess Peach have been changed to Japanese celebrities.
  • The Locations of ? Blocks and Brick Blocks have changed around.
  • The Starman has been changed into a diffrent type of Star with lines and a dot in the middle.
  • Platforms have been changed to many small Mushrooms grouped together.
  • Instead of "1-Player game" and "2-Player game", the title now says "Mario Game" and "Luigi Game".
  • Clouds and Bushes now have faces, while the ground has an altered appearance too.
  • Mario, when stopping after running, makes the same noise as that in Super Mario Bros. 3.
