Thanks, that's a better name. Now my question is if there is proof that this character is called a "first mate?" -- Son of Suns (talk)

I was going to name him this in the first place, but since he defected at the end of Wario Land II (and was no longer the first mate) I decided to name him after the main ingredient in syrup... And I'm not sure if he was the first mate, but the original author said he was the "right-hand man" which is the same thing as a first mate in a pirate crew.
