When uploading files, you'll be asked to select a license for the media you're uploading. What this is really asking is to identify the type of media you're uploading. Here's an example of each type so you can make the right choice:
Most Common Types

Video Game Logo An official image of the game logo that came from the game. The game logo will appear on the actual game title. This logo is similar to Non-character, 2D art. |

Promotional Photo An image of either a product, person, or event occurred. This image is most likely taken by a camera. |

Sound Clip A file that contains a music sample that came from the game. The wiki only accepts OGG. sound files. |
