- The merry-go-round music from Big Boo's Haunt is used near the Aqua Cups area in Mario Kart 8's Water Park race course.
- A glitch in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga lets the player gain an unlimited number of Golden Mushrooms.
- Playing the Game Boy version of Tetris Attack on a Super Game Boy lets the player use different borders by inputting certain button combinations.
