Template:MKTTour The Super Mario Kart Tour is the twenty-sixth tour of Mario Kart Tour that began on September 9, 2020 and will end on September 22, 2020. True to its name, the tour introduces Mario and Donkey Kong Jr. in their Super Mario Kart sprite-based appearance as new drivers, the latter making his first playable appearance in the Mario Kart series since the aforementioned game. The drivers were added in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros.[1] Participating in the tour is one of the My Nintendo missions for the anniversary, with rewards including sweepstakes and a collectible pin set.[2] RMX Rainbow Road 1 is added as a new variant of SNES Rainbow Road in this tour.

Trivia

  • The Super Mario Kart Tour Trailer video mistakenly featured the Gold Standard instead of the new Gold Pipe Frame. The Gold Standard is not in Super Mario Kart Tour, and is instead exclusive to Coin Rush mode. The mistake was clarified in a tweet[5] replying to the trailer's tweet and the YouTube video description.
