Bots are automated or semi-automated tools that carry out repetitive and mundane tasks.
The Super Mario Wiki currently uses two bots for general maintenance: MarioWiki Bot (talk) and PorpleBot (talk). The account MarioWiki Admins (talk) is also identified as a bot, whose only current task is to monitor the Admin Noticeboard for changes.
