- Yoshi's New Island (pictured) was the first new Yoshi's Island game to be released in eight years.
- In Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Iggy is the only main antagonist to be fought once and, along with Lemmy and Morton, one of the few that cannot be fought again in any way.
- Super Mario Sunshine is the only 3D Mario platformer that has yet to have a sequel or remake.
