Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Template:Infobox Super Smash Bros. Brawl is an upcoming fighting game for the Nintendo Wii. It is the third game in the Super Smash Bros. Series, the sequel to Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is scheduled to be released in the United States in 2007.
It has been confirmed that the game will make use of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
Gameplay
The game will be controlled with one of the four controlling methods:
- Wii Remote (Turned on its side)
- Wii Remote & Nunchuck Attachment
- Wii Classic Controller
- Nintendo GameCube Controller
A new battle mechanic will be the Final Smash, that is triggered by the collection of a Smash Ball. Another new battle mechanic is that players will be able to walk and jump while using projectile-shooting items, like the Super Scope.

History of Characters
In the E3 Trailer, the first few characters introduced were the main heroes of Nintendo's most popular series. This includes Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu and Samus. The trailer also introduced Pit, Meta Knight, Wario, and Zero Suit Samus, as new characters. This will be Pit's first appearance in 16 years. Meta Knight will act as the second Kirby character in the series. Wario will be wearing his WarioWare outfit, and will move in frame-by-frame movement. Zero Suit Samus will be an alternate form of Samus, similar to Princess Zelda and Sheik. In the same trailer, Solid Snake was revealed, acting as the first Third-Party character in the series. In the end of the Nintendo World Trailer, Fox McCloud was revealed to be a playable fighter. He was the latest character confirmed.
Yoshi has been strongly hinted, as a Yoshi Music Track, Yoshi Stage, and Yoshi's Symbol, the Egg, was revealed on the official website. Ridley was vaguely hinted, as a music track based on his theme was put on the official website. However, whether these two characters will be in the game or not, is unknown.
According to Sakurai, discussions for possible other third-party character additions such as Sonic the Hedgehog are underway, but nothing has been confirmed.

Stages
- Angel Land - Pit's homeland. Like the Hyrule Temple from Melee.
- Castle - A castle of unknown origins. Possibly Hyrule Castle, but uncomfirmed.
- Mario Circuit - like Mute City from Melee, it has Shy Guys driving across occasionally as they did in Mario Kart DS as an obstacle.
- Halberd - Meta-Knight's ship, like the Corneria and Venom stages from Melee, it flies in the air.
- Helipad - Snake's stage.
- Delfino Plaza - A moving stage, comparable to Mute City of SSBM
- Yoshi's Island - Yoshi's Island based on its appearances in Yoshi's Island DS. It will change Seasons, and feature a Support Ghost.
- Battlefield - The stage will feature different daytimes.
- Pokémon Stadium - like the one in Melee, its terrain changes.
- Lylat Cruise - A stage that moves through the Lylat System. Very similar to Corneria and Venom.
Music
Famed Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu contributed the main theme of the game. It is unknown whether he will be composing additional tracks.
The official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website lists a total of 36 composers to work on music for the game. Uematsu is not listed. [1]
A remix of Menu 1 from Super Smash Bros. Melee will be used for the stage Battlefield. The official website revealed a track called Yoshi's Story: Ending [2], which is a remix of the ending music to Yoshi's Story. It also features Yoshi's voice during the track. The website hinted at Yoshi being in the game on this page and also showed Yoshi's logo next to the song, thus almost proving Yoshi will be in Brawl. The official websites most recent update, a track from the original Metroid game was revealed. It is called Metroid: Boss Battle Music [3], or Ridley's Theme. It is the theme music of when Ridley appears in the Metroid game, which also very vaguely hinted that he may be playable, or at least appear in Brawl.
