Yoshi's Wings

Yoshi's Wings are a power-up item from Super Mario World. When Mario and Yoshi snag this rare item, Yoshi turns into Winged Yoshi, and they enter a secret bonus area, where they can collect Coins. Upon finishing that stage, no matter what colored Yoshi Mario had with him, he would instead have a Blue Yoshi in its place.

In the Super Mario World cartoon, Yoshi's Wings, though called Magic Wings, appeared in the episodes "Ghosts 'R' Us" and "The Night Before Cave Christmas".

Comics

In Super Mario Adventures, Yoshi, after eating a Koopa Troopa wearing a Blue Shell, gains Yoshi's Wings, which allowed him to fly, with Mario and Luigi on his back. Yoshi accidentally spat out this Blue Shell later though, causing him to lose his Yoshi's Wings.
