A Yoshi Star is an item found in Yoshi's New Island. When a Yoshi collects it, he is able to walk on walls for a short time and speed up but the effect soon wears off. The red Yoshi Stars usually come after the player completes a segment with yellow ones and they give Yoshi the power to blast through enemies and walls. However, the effect soon wears off as with the yellow ones. Template:BoxTop
